TriPeaks Solitaire

Objective

To win TriPeaks, clear all the cards from the tableau by selecting cards that are one rank higher or lower than the current card in the waste pile.

Rules

At the start of the game, 28 cards are dealt face-up in a layout of three overlapping pyramids, forming a tableau of 18 uncovered cards and 10 partially covered cards. The remaining cards form the stockpile. Follow these TriPeaks rules to play.

• Move a tableau card to the waste pile or flip from the stockpile to start the game. Choose a starter card that will give you the longest pairing sequence.
• Pair cards that are one rank higher or lower than the card in the waste pile. For example, if the top card is a 6, you can play a 5 or 7. If you play a 5, then you can play either a 4 or a 6.
• You can wrap ranks, meaning you can place a King on an Ace or an Ace on a King. For more of a challenge, you can toggle the 'Wrap Ranks' option off in the game settings.
• Draw from the stockpile when you get stuck. If no moves are available, flip a card from the stockpile to the waste pile. You’ll use this new card to pair.

The game ends when all cards in the tableau are cleared, or no more moves remain and the stockpile is empty.

Tips and Strategies

• Look ahead for long sequences. Plan your moves so that you can remove the most cards in a row. For example, if you have the choice of removing 6, 7, 8, 7 or 7, 6, 5, choose the former because it removes more cards.
• Choose moves that uncover more cards. If you have multiple options, prioritize the one that reveals the most hidden cards.
• Don’t use the stockpile unless you get stuck. Every card draw is limited, so use the stockpile strategically when no other moves are available.
• Clear rows evenly. Avoid focusing all your moves on just one peak. Spreading your plays across all three peaks helps expose more face-down cards and prevents getting stuck.
