Spider Solitaire — 2 Suits

Objective

Win by moving all 104 cards to the eight foundation piles. To do so, complete descending same-suit sequences (King to Ace) in the tableau. Once a full sequence is built, it’s automatically moved to a foundation pile.

Rules

Spider Solitaire 2 Suits is a level up from 1 Suit. The rules are similar, but you’ll be working with two different suits (clubs and diamonds). This makes it harder to build complete sequences, since mixed-suit sequences can’t be moved together in the tableau.

• Sequence cards in descending order regardless of suit. For example, a 7♣ or 7♦ can be placed on an 8♣.
• Only same-suit sequences can be moved together. A 7♣, 6♣, 5♣ sequence can be moved on top of an 8♣, but a 7♣, 6♦, 5♣ sequence could not be moved together.
• Completed same-suit sequences from King to Ace are removed to the foundation automatically. You must complete all eight piles to win.
• Use the stockpile to deal one new row of cards to each column. Every column must contain at least one card to use the stockpile. There are 50 cards in the stockpile, so you can deal five times.
• Any single card or legal sequence can be moved to an empty column.

Tips and Strategies

• Prioritize same-suit sequences. Since you can only move same-suit sequences, always default to organizing by suit when possible.
• Use mixed-suit builds as temporary steps. Sometimes you’ll need to place a card of a different suit to free a hidden card, but think about how you’ll reorganize this sequence later. Avoid building deep mixed-suit sequences, which will be difficult to correct.
• Prioritize uncovering hidden cards. Just like in 1 Suit, revealing face-down cards gives you more playable options.
• Clear columns early. An empty column is a powerful tool in Spider Solitaire. It lets you rearrange sequences and work toward longer same-suit runs.
• Delay using the stockpile. Only deal new cards when you’ve run out of productive moves, as new cards will land on every column and can break up partial sequences.
